Koplotovce has one natural specific. There are mineral streams, about which people have known since old times and maybe because of these streams they had started to urban this land. The water from streams was used for any purposes, for rinsing of eyes, the mud was used for reumatism. Written mentions from the 19th century says about existnce of warm mineral streams, also in the past.
The hydrogeological research, wich proved the existence of big range of mineral waters, started in the year 1975.

Chemical description of Koplotovce mineral water

According to evaluation of international norms (ISN), there are in Koplotovce 4 termal bores, which temperature is higher than 20°C. (from total amount of 5 bores).
In comparison with Piestany termal water, Koplotovce water reached the higher level of mineralization. Termal water in Piestany has characteristic level of mineralization only on level 1450 mg.l-1.
Significiant part of Koplotovce mineral water is carbon oxid in level 900 – 1000 mg.l-1 and sulphuttered hydrogen in level around 1,5 – 3,5 mg.l-1. the water of the bore KB-2, contents also fluor (2,2 mg.l-1).

According to volume of ions, gas, which are included in the water, temperature and preassure, the Koplotovce mineral water is defined as „natural mineral water, mineralised, sulfur – carbon, calcium – magnesit, hypotinic, warmish.
